CLI Services is looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team. This position will be our primary and only in-house mechanic and will work closely with our Fleet Equipment Manager to keep our vehicles and equipment maintained, repaired, safe, and ready for the field.

We operate a busy commercial lighting and electrical service fleet, so keeping our trucks and equipment up and running is extremely important to our operation. We are looking for someone who can work independently, manage their daily workload, troubleshoot problems, and communicate with the Fleet Equipment Manager when repairs, parts, or outside services are needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, cooling, starting, charging, and other vehicle issues.

Complete oil changes, brakes, batteries, tires, inspections, and general fleet maintenance.

Work closely with the Fleet Manager to prioritize repairs and keep vehicles available for our field crews.

Maintain and repair service trucks, pickups, vans, trailers, and other company equipment.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine whether repairs should be completed in-house or sent to an outside vendor.

Identify and order parts needed to complete repairs.

Keep accurate records of repairs, preventative maintenance, parts, and completed work.

Communicate immediately when a repair will take longer than expected or additional parts are required.

Keep the shop, tools, and work areas organized and safe.

Assist with emergency repairs when equipment goes down unexpectedly.

Help identify recurring vehicle or equipment issues before they create larger problems.

This is a great opportunity for a mechanic who likes having ownership of their shop and their work. You will not be one of several mechanics waiting for assignments. You will be the mechanic responsible for helping keep our fleet running and will work directly with our Fleet Manager on what needs to be completed each day.
